Hello world!
Hello from the other side—the other side being the depths of my mind. My name is Nicketria, pronounced like “Nick-Key-Truh.” Since you’re here reading my thoughts, it’s only right that you know a little bit about the woman behind them.
I’m a hard‑working, old‑car‑owning, tall girl from Middle GA. I am a lover of pen to paper. You can usually catch me in a corner somewhere, low‑key giving myself carpal tunnel. From poetry to diary entries, I just love to write. I’m sure that kind of goes without saying, considering where you are right now.
In my life, I’ve seen and gone through a few things that have definitely tested my survival skills. While navigating my own storms, I started to notice that friends and family were going through some of the same things. People move through life battling similar struggles yet still feel completely alone.
You are not alone.
Because of the way I see life and the world, I naturally became “the one to talk to.” I honestly should’ve started this blog forever ago. Whether it was my best friend, or a coworker, I was always giving someone advice, offering words of encouragement, or just lending a listening ear. I love to help, and I love to write—so it only made sense to finally combine the two.
I wanted to create a space where I could share. Share what has happened to me and to those close to me, in hopes that it might help someone else. I wanted to offer tips and little hacks to help us all make it through. I wanted to talk about how I made it through, so that you can live your best life too.
Somewhere in the middle of me sitting with my favorite purple Paper Mate pen and a whole lot to say, The Thought Process was born.
The way our mind processes things shapes how we react, and those reactions can change everything. One decision—right or wrong—can flip your whole life. That can be scary. But that’s also just…life.
The Thought Process is all about the things you should consider, reflect on, or put into action to make your life a little easier. We’re talking about everything from how to save on everyday things, to how to deal with your anxiety, to how to spot a cheater, and more. I want to bring you into the caves of my mind, into the unraveling of my brain, and let you sit with the thoughts that have carried me this far.
So come on in. Get comfortable. Read, reflect, laugh, maybe cry a little.
Just promise before you leave, you’ll let me know:
What’s your thought process?
