For the most part we usually spend time away from our loved ones during the day. This gives us time to miss each other. Right now, most of us are spending time a lot of time at home. Instead of having that space put there by work, school, etc, we’re having to create space. So, I have here for you 4 ways to create space during isolation. In case you missed it, we spoke a little bit about creating space in 3 Ways COVID-19 Affects Your Relationship.
1.HOBBIES. If you have any hobbies, right now is the right time to indulge. You have more time to be patient and really dive in. Having a hobby will keep your mind focused on something other than what’s going on outside. Giving release from all the anxiety of the daily news. If you don’t have a hobby, now is the time to find one. You need something to past the time and channel your energy into. Personally, I have been thinking about getting back into crocheting.
2.SEPERATE ROOMS. If you also share a room with a significant other, try letting them have the room for a while. After you have found your hobby, take it to a different room and set up shop. Being in a different room alone doesn’t mean that you are upset. You just need some time to yourself. Through, it is possible to create space in the same room. Stepping into a different area of your home for a while gives just a little space for you to miss each other.
3.PRODUCTIVITY. This is a great way to create some space. When you do what you love to do and make progress you lose track of time. I am not worrying about the clock when I am typing up new post, searching for images, create pins, etc. I am all in and I will go to sleep when I feel like it. That’s one thing on the bright side of being at home. It has allowed me time to really drive in and work on my blog. I really want to create a blog that you all will love and keep coming back to.
4.RUN ERRANDS. Though not much is open right now essential jobs are. For example, the grocery store. Everything can be ordered from eBay or Amazon; however, it is okay to go out for just a little bit. As long as you are safe and distant from your fellow shoppers. Make going to the store a personal trip. Pop in your earbuds and dance through the aisles with your list. Not literally. Then again, the aisles are shallow right about now. You will more than likely have a few of them to yourself.
During, this time we have to create space with our loved ones while we are in isolation together. So, we can continue to co-exist during this pandemic.
