4 Simple Ways to Reconnect with your Partner

Today’s world is busy. We’re all spending most of our time working because of how expensive it is to live. As a result, we’re spending less time with the ones we love most. Even with the chaos of the day to day it is important to show your partner you care and it doesn’t take much to do it. You don’t have to go on trips or spend a lot of money to have fun and reconnect. If you are with someone that you see a future with these are 4 simple ways to reconnect with your partner.

  1. Meditation

What I’ve learned on my spiritual journey thus far is that meditation is not about quieting the mind. It’s supposed to help you navigate through the chaos. Helping you to manage stress and focus. Take about 3ominutes to an hour. Play your favorite meditation sounds. Then sit facing each other or side by side. Try to focus on the happiness your love brings you and how you want to strengthen that.

  • Activity

Having something that you do together is always good because it allows you to bond. When you do something that you are both interested in it creates conversation. From those conversations your partner lets you into their mind. Allowing you access to see if you guys are on the same page. So rather it is exercising, reading, watching tv show or playing video games find something that you both enjoy. Try to do this thing every week without being distracted. This will give you the opportunity to open conversation and check in on your loved one after a long work week.

  • Put your phone down

We all spend so much time on our phones that we commonly do things with it in our hands. I challenge you to show your partner you really love them and put your phone down. Besides having no distractions during your activity time it is important to put your phone down and have an uninterrupted conversation with your partner. Take a little time each day to ask your partner how they are without paying attention to anything else. See how they’re day went and actually pay attention. Also comment on what they say and follow up with how things were for you.

  • Shower Together

Showering is always a relaxing way to end the day. Cleansing is an important part of protecting your energy. After you return home you need to cleanse your body and mind because the outside energy might have clung on to you. While in the shower take time to help your partner wash. The massaging of the soap into the skin under the warm water raining down from the shower head is soothing. Help your loved one melt the stress away with a loofah and their favorite body wash. Continue after shower was with a rub down of your favorite oils and butters. Top it off with something warm to drink like a calming tea for a good night’s rest.

To sum up these are my favorite 4 simple ways to reconnect with your partner. They are easy things that anyone can do at home to bring some bonding into your relationship. We all spend so much time trying to work and keep up that we sometimes forget to save time for our relationship. Always remember to let your partner know how important they are to you. Even if you feel like they know. It’s always so good to hear. What kind of things do you do to reconnect with your partner? Do you do anything on my list? What’s your thought process?

  1. We’re always trying to find new ways to reconnect. Despite working at home and therefore in eachother’s company all. the. time. It can be so easy to become siloed and do our own thing in the evening. Last week I booked date night in our calendars. I made a nicer meal (or you can cook together!) and we sat down to properly eat. We’ve also tried doing board game night so we can have some fun together and also spend actual time without tech!

  2. Showers with your partner are soooo under rated! I’m not sure who it was, but I read of a couple that took a massage together every single day. I thought it was a lot but loveee when we shower together. I need my own time sometimes but it’s nice lol
