I love me some tea! I love it hot, cold, in the morning, at night. From a steamy mug to a tall cup of bubble tea. As a matter of fact, I am finishing up a large Japanese Matcha bubble tea as I type this post. Yes, it is a part of life. A part of life that can have great benefits. I am here to share with you 4 reasons you should become a tea drinker.
CALMING. One of my favorite things about tea is the calming effects. I have a post already about my favorite calming teas. Here is the link for that post “4 Staple Worthy Calming Teas.” Be sure to check it out and comment on your favorite calming tea. I am a very anxious person, who has yet to truly master the art of chilling the flip out. To help ease the mind and strip away some of the day’s stress I like to relax with a steamy cup of one of my fav calming teas. It keeps me from carrying the nerves of yesterday though to the next day.
ALIMENTS. There are many different teas that can assist you with some of the aliments happening in your body. I have acid reflux, which makes some of my favorite foods off-limits. For example, I love tomatoes, but it is one of the things I am not supposed to eat. At least that’s what I read. However, I just can’t let them go. So, whenever my hard-headedness causes an acid reflux flare-up, I like to take a cup of herbal tea and add turmeric powder to it. You can make straight turmeric tea, but I like to do it this way to help with the taste. I drink a cup of this and that nasty burn in my belly starts to drift away. After that, I’m good for the rest of my day.
SUBSTITUTE. If you are not a coffee drinker, but you need a little pick me up in the morning, tea might be for you. I am not a big energy drink fan. I just don’t usually like the taste. Tea is a great way to energize the body, to start a great productive day. There are many different caffeinated teas that you can drink to start the day off right. My fav is green! When I feel as though my body needs a break from my dark heavy coffee, I fill my travel mug with my fav green tea. I add in a nice tablespoon full of honey and I am off to make some magic happen. Well maybe not magic, but I’m making something happen.
HEALTH. A nice cup of tea can assist your body by keeping you healthy. For example, mint green tea. Mint green tea can help with keeping healthy blood sugar levels and is an appetite suppressant. I haven’t had my blood sugar checked yet but it has helped me with overeating. I feel great and my clothes are getting loose. Needless to say, I am feeling myself. I also love a nice cup of ginger after I eat. The warm ginger-infused liquid helps to break down my food and support my digestive system.
Now I’m not saying you gotta be a tea fiend, but it is something to try. Tea can be amazing for you. There are so many different ones to choose from. Peppermint, Oolong, Earl Grey, Green, and so many more. So, take a few scrolls on Pinterest and find one that suits you. I can’t wait to hear all about the tea that’s got your stove top whistling. Do you drink tea? Are you interesting in starting? What’s your thought process?
The only tea I drink is like Coffee Milk Tea. 😅 I would be interested in finding the right tea to drink. I am clueless on these things. Thanks for the post. Very informative.
Lol I gotta try that one!
