5 Ways to Save Money During Inflation

I just want to start by saving inflation has been whooping my ass like I owe them money. It’s like I signed up for a subscription, forgot about it, and they just keep charging me. If you are anything like me and your wallet is feeling the pain, my friend you are not alone.  However, just like with anything this too shall pass. In the mean time, we have to find a way to save. Here are five ways to save money during inflation.

1. If you don’t need it leave it

As we know inflation has heighten the prices on everything from lettuce to rideshares. So, one way to save is to leave things you don’t need right where they are. We need to do less of McDonald’s and more of Kroger. We must focus our money on the essentials.

2. Pay attention to where you spend

Paying attention to where you are spending your money is an important step in saving money during inflation. Following this step helps to find where you are spending the most money. Thus, assisting you in finding a solution to your dusty pockets. You could keep a note in your phone or use a budgeting app.

3. Side job

Watching how you spend is a great way to save money during inflation but sometimes that’s not enough. Sometimes you have to find yourself a side hustle. Use your skills to do freelance work or try driving for a rideshare app.

4. Make Investments

Making investments is another way to save money during inflation. Investing in assets that will increase in value is a great long temp plan. Try looking into things like stocks and real estate.

5. Hunt for Deals

Different stores have different prices, and everybody has an app. So, in an attempt to save, take a moment to search different stores before making your final purchase. For example, I know you love your High End bags, but there are some really nice half priced bags out there. They would just as good on your arm and even better on your bank statement. At a time like this, don’t be afraid to use coupons and Groupon.


Inflation can be hard on us but we got this. When we leave unnecessary items on the self, pay attention to what we spent, try side jobs, make investments, hunt for deals we can save money during inflation. Try to look for ways to save on all your everyday purchases. You could be surprised where you find a deal.
