Pros and Cons of Online Shopping

Pro and Cons of Online Shopping

I love shopping online. Who doesn’t? Well maybe not my grandma but I think that has something to do with not trusting the internet. Online shopping has really helped me out while dealing with this schedule of mine. I haven’t tried online grocery shopping yet, but you can imagine my excitement when I found out that it was an option. Game changer! Even though I love it there are pros and cons of online shopping.

Pros! You can buy a little bit of everything from the comfort of your home. Download the app, register, and start shopping. I don’t have to fit going out to shop into my already slammed packed schedule, above all. Plus, there are different options online vs in-store. For example, Old Navy. There is a category on their site called “tall”. I am a 6’1 and I need that category. Whenever I go to the stores I may or may not get a decent pair of jeans that don’t show my ankles. I have a better chance of getting multiple pairs of jeans online that are not only long enough but wide enough to fit my large frame. There are usually discounts for spending a certain amount or discount codes somewhere online.

Cons! You have to wait for your package vs going to the store and leaving with it the same day. There are usually options at check out the send it sooner for more money. I usually buy ahead before I need it, so I get my things in time without the extra cost. This method is working so far. However, there is always that chance that your package could be late or not arrive at all. There is also the fact that you can’t try on anything. You must do your measures according to the size charts on the site. It is best to use the site size chart because sending things back can sometimes be a hassle with certain stores. On top of those facts’ things don’t always look the same as online.

Though it isn’t all good, it is definitely worth a try. Make sure you’re safe. You can also use a gift card, or any prepaid card to shop instead of your banking info. If you use your debit or credit alone make sure that you keep track of your statements. These were just a few pros and cons of online shopping. So, do you shop online? Have you bought online groceries? What’s your thought process?
